Community Music Concert
Adeline McDonald is currently completing her Eagle Scout Project and needs our help! Please see below for more information from Adeline.
“My name is Adeline McDonald, and I am a sophomore at Spruce Creek High School and a Life Scout in BSA Troop 1 out of Central Baptist Church in Daytona Beach. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project, which will be a free concert with volunteer students and adult performers from the community. The concert is for community outreach in the Daytona Beach area. It will take place on February 10 at 3 PM at Central Baptist Church. Please reach out to me if you have students who would be interested in performing in this concert and earning volunteer hours. I have attached the links to sign up to perform or help with setup and stage crew at the bottom of this email. Please feel free to share them with anyone you know who may be interested in performing."

Solo & Ensemble
Solo & Ensemble is February 16th and 17th at Hagerty High School
Required Accompanist Rehearsals January 20th & February 3rd: All students will be scheduled for two practice sessions with your piano player. These two days are listed above. Any additional practice time outside of these two days is the responsibility of the student to schedule with the piano player and may cost an additional amount.
IB Recital: The IB recital will be held on February 9th at 6:30pm in the band room. All
pre-IB students and IB students will attend but only juniors & seniors will perform.
Scholarship Opportunity for Seniors
*Students do not need to be a music major*
Arts for Life! annually awards $1,000 scholarships to 25 graduating high school seniors in Florida who demonstrate excellence in one of the following art forms:
• creative writing
• dance
• drama
• music
• visual art
Application Period:
The 2023-24 application period deadline is February 5, 2024.
Eligibility:
High school students who are graduating from a public, private, or virtual school or a
home education program in Florida during the current academic year.
