All State Jazz Band Audition Materials
Please make sure you read the requirements for auditioning for All State jazz! The audition process for All State Jazz is very different than the concert band auditions. Read all the way through the requirements!

Concert Bands
The audition material will be as follows:

All 12 Major scales, played in the Florida All State Pattern. Scales must be MEMORIZED and completed in 3 minutes or less. Play as many scales two octaves as possible.

The first 8 measures of the 9-10 Florida All State Etude

Jazz Bands
The audition Material will be as follows:

First 16 Bars of the swing etude for the 9-12 all state jazz audition material.

Piano and will play first 16 bars of page 2.​

Drum Set 16 bars of the transcription to Big Swing Face.

REMINDER: ALL incoming students are AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED in the Marching Band, Concert Band & 10 O Clock Jazz Band (if they indicated that they wanted to play in jazz band next year). This audition is ONLY for students who would like to audition for the Wind Ensemble &/or 12 O Clock Jazz Band.
