“My name is Adeline McDonald, and I am a sophomore at Spruce Creek High School and a Life Scout in BSA Troop 1 out of Central Baptist Church in Daytona Beach. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project, which will be a free concert with volunteer students and adult performers from the community. The concert is for community outreach in the Daytona Beach area. It will take place on February 10 at 3 PM at Central Baptist Church. Please reach out to me if you have students who would be interested in performing in this concert and earning volunteer hours. Solo & Ensemble Solo & Ensemble is February 16th and 17th at Hagerty High School
IB Recital: The IB recital will be held on February 9th at 6:30pm in the band room. All
pre-IB students and IB students will attend but only juniors & seniors will perform.
Scholarship Opportunity for Seniors
*Students do not need to be a music major*
Arts for Life! annually awards $1,000 scholarships to 25 graduating high school seniors in Florida who demonstrate excellence in one of the following art forms:
• creative writing
• dance
• drama
• music
• visual art
Application Period:
The 2023-24 application period deadline is February 5, 2024.
Eligibility:
High school students who are graduating from a public, private, or virtual school or a
home education program in Florida during the current academic year.
