Treasurer’s Report – Student accounts about $ 8,500 outstanding.
Band President Report – Band fees (see special board meeting notes 4/25/05) Band student fee is $230, $ 180 base fee and $ 50 uniform maintenance. All proceeds from football ad sales will be split 50-50 between student accounts and operating budget. Jazz only and orchestra only fees are $ 150, $100 base fee and $ 50 uniform maintenance. Base fees are used for transportation, music, equipment repair, entry fees, fees for adjunct professor and other expenses necessary for operation of our program. Credit card payment is an option, minimum $50 charge or there is a $2 transaction fee.
May 23rd, kickoff meeting, mandatory to bring everyone together, all business to be taken care of and to have fun. At least $ 50 due for uniforms. Will NOT be able to rent lockers that night.
Director – John Seth Starting off next year a bit early, avoid the rush of new school year, will cover the whole year. Everyone required to be there with veterans helping newcomers. April 20th, State Band Festival: Concert band – Excellent, Symphonic band – Superior, fantastic accomplishments. April 28th: Orchestra to Miami for State Competition, stage performance 1, 2, 2 and sight reading 2 (excellent), wonderful accomplishment. School approved 3 full size string basses, 4 new sousaphones have arrived. All state material published and passed out to students, prepare yourselves and you will have a chance. Mr. Seth will be available this summer to work with anyone who is prepared and willing to work. Thanked everyone for a great year.
Andy Kidd Lakeside Jazz scholarships decided on Tursday. Banquet at the Daytona 500 Club, directions to parking. Summer Music Camp at UNF and FSU. Stetson has a sax camp. Drum camp June 1 & 2, trying for scholarship money. Graduation, final exam for wind and percussion, May 20th, students must be at the Ocean Center 5:15, Sunday clothes (shirt, tie, black socks), pickup at 8:15, this is a required performance. May 12th Prism Concert, produced by the students. May 23rd, kickoff for next school year. OCS: Officer Candidate School, leadership, self esteem, manipulation, positive reinforcement. Bring in old cell phones and ink cartridges for cash for the band.
Banquet – Donna Papa 6 pm May 14, 2005, enter tunnel at turn 4.
Adult Staffing – Martha Fabian Thanked everyone for all their help.
Kickoff 2005 – 2006 – Need volunteers for uniforms. Football packets will be handed out.
