Spruce Creek High School Musical Performing Arts Association

General Meeting                                                       March 1, 2005  7:30 PM

Meeting called to order 7:30 pm by Rick Spitz.

Secretary Report –Minutes from the last meeting approved as written.

Director – Andy Kidd, John Seth  Calendar changes discussed, see attached calendar.  National Peach Bowl, Concert band/Jazz Band festival.  See attached flier.  Dates 12/28 – 12/31/05.  Cost estimate $380 per student, $395 per chaperone. 

Students owing dues, names will be submitted to the front office (obligation) and report cards will be held.

All bands for graduation 5/20.

Band Captain report – Travis Eales – Jazz band not going to state. Thanks everyone for support.  Reminder to send in silent auction donations.

Silent Auction – Going well, storage space has been donated.  Need to raise $10,000.  Thank you to the committee for doing a great job.  Collection days and times announced.  Volunteers are still needed.  Group assignments were discussed.

Lakeside Jazz Fest – April 7, 8, 9 at Port Orange City Center. Help is especially needed for setting up and taking down the tents.  Need volunteers for 3 hour shifts. 

Banquet – Will be at the Daytona 500 club on May 14^th 6 – 11 pm.  4 sided buffet, Italian.  Cash bar for water and soda.  Details on parking will be given next month.  May charge $23 ticket.  Formal attire. 

Band video for sale $ 5.00.
