Spruce Creek High School Musical Performing Arts Association

General Meeting                                                       February 1, 2005  7:30 PM

 

 Meeting called to order 7:30 pm by Rick Spitz.

 

Secretary Report – Susan MacKenzie  Minutes from the last meeting approved as written.

 

Corresponding Secretary – B.J. Mitchell  List of positions / names of nominating committee will be emailed.  Everyone is encouraged to serve.

 

Treasurer – Terri Karol/Elaine Kinion See attached report. Enough money available to get through until the silent auction.

 

Adult Staffing – Martha Fabian  3 busses to FBA Saturday Feb 5th.  Need chaperones 8 am to 6 pm.

On 2/8 pre festival concert chaperones needed 6:45 –10:00 pm.

 

Silent Auction – Saturday 3/12, City Center Gym during St. Patrick’s festival. Need everyone to help, $ 10,000 – 12,000 needed. Each student asked to donate 2 items of $20 value.  Also asking for donated items, solicitation letter distributed.  Chairperson needed for this fun event.  Committee consists of Jenna Steen, Terri Karol, Rick Spitz, Cheri Grigg. Staffing help needed: morning collection group 7:15 am at the school, 3/11 moving group from storage facility to the GYM and gym decorating group.  3/12 need registration, cashiers, monitors/workers and tear down groups.  Please volunteer, call Cheri Grigg 756-1544 or scckgrigg@juno.com.

 

Lakeside Jazz Fest – April 7, 8, 9 at Port Orange City Center.  There will be more photography this year.  Next meeting February 17 at the city center. 

 

Banquet – No site yet. May need to do it on a Sunday.  Advise Donna Papa if you know of a place that will hold 350 – 400 people.
