General Meeting                                                       January 4, 2005  7:30 PM

Meeting called to order 7:40 pm by Rick Spitz.

Secretary Report – Susan MacKenzie  Minutes from the last meeting approved as written.

Band Captain – Travis Eales Thanked parents for support. Winter concert was great. Luminary sales best ever. FBA and S&E coming soon.

Corresponding Secretary – B.J. Mitchell Let BJ know of any changes to phone number, email, etc.   comsecty4schspaa@aol.com

Treasurer – Terri Karol/Elaine Kinion Send request for student accounts to music@kintech.com

Nomination committee needs to meet between January 5^th and March 31^st to consider candidates for the board.   Notify this board if you are interested in chairing or helping.

Adult Staffing – Martha Fabian  Staffing needed for upcoming events, will be notified by email.  Will need help at the end of the year activities.  

Luminaries – Jenna Steen Total record sales $25,800.  Supply cost was decreased to $ 2500. New Smyrna Beach Walmart gave $1000 donation. 

Fund Raising – Sharon Owens  Capital campaign, welcome suggestions and/or help.

Uniforms – Mary Nothing new to report.

Director – Andy Kidd, John Seth  Calendar changes reviewed. Be sure you have an updated calendar.  All County rehearsal Jan 10, 18, 24, 27 and 28.  Band banquet May 14^th at the old Hilton.  Those who receive a superior on grade 5 or higher music at solo and ensemble district level have the option to got to state.  Winterguard, orchestra district and orchestra state dates TBA.  Grammy finalist submitted, won’t hear until after March.  Working on a grant to get new orchestra instruments.
